FAQs

Q?What is an Uninsured Service?
A.

An uninsured service is one that is provided by a physician that is not covered by your insurance provider. This signifies that the patient must pay for the service themselves.

Q?Can I get a sick note filled at the clinic?
A.

Our physicians do provide sick notes, return to work notes and other simple forms, however there are times where this cannot be provided due to time or lack of information. Our physicians reserve the right to refuse all notes or forms.

Q?What is the difference between a Walk-In Clinic and your Family Doctors?
A.

The main difference is that there is no appointment necessary for Walk-In Clinics and people are treated at a first come first served basis.

Q?What do I need to register?
A.

For patients who are a resident of Vancouver then all that is needed is a valid Health Card. Most of the services provided by the Walk-In Clinic would be fully covered by your BC health insurance.

Q?What types of doctors work in the Walk-In Clinic?
A.

We have General Practitioners which are qualified Medical Doctors who have a four year University degree from a certified Faculty of Medicine and have done two years of residency training.
